  • $207.00 – Commuter Option
    Commuters attend the full retreat, including lunch and dinner, but are not provided with overnight accommodations or breakfast. It is important to note that by registering as a commuter, you agree to attend the entire retreat and to arrive and depart at the scheduled time each day. Your presence is important, as having retreatants come and go or miss sessions can disrupt the container created by group practice. dana (offered at the end of the retreat) to the teacher and to Heartwood. Date & Time Details: Opening Day: check in is between 3-5pm, with orientation at 5:30pm and supper at 6pm. Closing Day: ends at 11am.

Mindfulness Retreat for Beginners~ Retreat Scholarship Eligible

July 23 - 26, 2020

This three-night retreat will be held in Noble Silence.  The retreat is designed for those who are new to meditation, but meditators with experience are welcome to attend to rejuvenate their practice.  Mary will offer meditation instructions, dharma talks, and interviews.  Each day will include periods of sitting meditation, walking meditation, loving-kindness meditation, and Q&A sessions.


Mary Aubry
Mary Aubry began meditating in the insight (mindfulness) tradition and attending insight meditation retreats in 1993. She graduated from the Community Dharma Leadership program co-sponsored by the Spirit Rock Meditation Center and the Insight Meditation Society in 2012. Tara Brach authorized her to teach residential silent meditation retreats in 2012, and Leigh Brasington authorized her to teach jhana retreats in 2016. Other than Tara and Leigh, her primary teachers have included Joseph Goldstein, Bhikkhu Analayo, and Rodney Smith.
